School Boys

Well I am the Mum of school kids :(
It was all a bit stressful for me I have to admit.

They were quite excited at home and got quieter and quieter as we got closer to the school. I parked at Vondas so they show her their uniforms and they started to cling. When we walked in the school gates Cam started squeezing my hand more tightly by the second.

Found the room and saw some friends and neither of them would talk to anyone! Met their teacher (an ex student of mine ) Ms Gooda, and she is lovely. Got them into the room where all the desks had name tags on them and an activity to do.

Unfortunately Cam Josh and their best mate Mitchell were on three seperate desks. Josh was fine and sat down and had a play but Cam paniced. No tears but he was very stressed.

Eventually we got the three Boys to play blocks on the floor and I snapped this and left

Look at poor Cams stressed face :(

I was ok until I got back to the car and then cried and cried It is all a bit stressful!! Anyway - when I picked them up this arvo they told me "mum school is so so so so good! And guess what, we get to go back tommorrow!" So one very relieved mum here!

Still can't believe they are that big :o

Another Day - More scrapping!

Well I am SO tired. I think Cam is a bit worked up about school. His behaviour is shocking and he isn't sleeping. It had better improve once he settles into school!!

I have had a big scrapping weekend. It is the Every Moment Matters cyber crop so there are three challenges to complete. I usually only get one or two done, but have already finished this weekends! It helped that I worked at the Happy Scrapper today. I was teaching a beginners class. Unfortunately there was only one booked in and then she forgot to turn up and so was and hour late!

I decided to make good use of my time and worked on my CC LO's while I waited. This is what I came up with...

I also did this one the other night. I am quite please with the stiching on it. Can you tell I am loving scrpping my Nephew Jake - he is just too cute (hope he was good for you Deb!).

Hmmm better get back to my Scrapping monsters. Can't believe I am leting them into my stash. One they are driving me MAD and two they are goinf hell for leather through my photo's, cardstock, stickers and photo tabs. I will start these things.............

Home Again

Well after a lovely 4 nights in Melb I am home again :) The Boys and I headed to Melb on our own as Jason needed to work on the house.

We didn't get up to a lot while we were down there. I managed to get the Boys some sports shorts for school (mind you we ad to get 6's. Hope they don't fall down :o ) and checked out a scrapbooking store and Spotlight!

I did a little bit of scrapping while I was down there and finished them off last night and this morning. These are for a class I am teaching at the "Happy Scrapper" on using sketches.

The photo's were taken on Boxing Day at Lake Macquarie.

Ho hum better go I have decided that I had better get some work done for school - yep the real world is closing in fast!

An acceptance!!!!

OMG!!! I just got an acceptance for Scrapbooking Memories :o !!!!!!!

All I have wanted to do for ages is be published and have finaly done it!

Funny that it is quite a simple LO I did on Jason ages and ages ago. It does have good pics on it and I do like the LO - just not one I thought they would pick.

Anyway I am so excited to finally have that email arrive :)

Well we had a lovely weekend away at Carl and Yvette's wedding in Cootamundra. It was not too hot and was a beautiful wedding.

A few dramas, like a third of the town being evacuated due to a silo being on fire and the risk of it exploding :o It meant a few guests had no where to stay - glad we had a motel on the otherside of town! Still it was lots of fun!!

While we were away the Boys had a great time with Nanny and Poppy. Poor Pop had Cam hanging off all weekend I think! They spent Saturday out at the river fishing and swimming and the rest of the weekend swimming in the pool at home. A good time had by all I think.

After no scrapping for a few days I had to sit and scrap for a while this morning! I did this LO for a comp where we had to do a LO based on the idea of milestones and "first's". These picks of Cam, Josh and Jake have been screaming to be scrapped so "Meeting Jake" was created!

Still trying to post those pics of the Boys scrapping...

Scrappers in the making??

Well I finally gave into the nagging and let the Boys scrap this morning! They were allowed to go through the photo box and pick any photo's they liked. They then picked their own cardstock and I gave them some pieces of patterned paper I had left over as well as some stickers.

They had a ball and this is what they came up with:

Arrrg Blogger won't let my put up pics! I will try again tonight!

Arrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggg

Blehh! What a horrible day here today. It was 43 degrees here today - still over 40 now (7:30pm). The Boys are just feral and driving me MAD and I have had it!!!

Ahhhh feels better to get that out!

We got out of the house for the first time since the dreaded pox hit. Nothing too exciting, school shopping (it is SO hard to get school shorts to fit skinny boys with no bums!) We managed to get a few pairs of size fours from Lowes - even they are a bit big. We also had a look around town for a fish tank for the Boys. They got some money from Oma for xmas and that is what they dearly want (oh and Cam would have loved a puppy from the pet shop today, or a rabbit, or a hermit crab etc etc etc!). Will keep looking at where we can get a good deal.

We had luch up at the Vic (Victoria Hotel). It is a really nice, family friendly place there. Pity the Boys had driven both of us mad by then and the mood was not as nice as it could have been :(

I am SO looking forward to this weekend. Jas and I are off to a wedding in Cootamundra and Jason's Mum and Dad arrive tommorrow to look after the kids. Kicking myself now that I didn't book for two nights! We really could have done with the break.

Poor Jas is out in this heat doing work on the house. The mesh for the verandas has finally arrived and the rest of what he has been waiting for (flooring system?) will be here in a week. So things might get going again....

Oh well - best go battle these Boys and try and get them into bed LOL It is so hot and they are so awake I don't like my chances!

Another LO

Just finished this LO for "The Bicky Tin" http://missymuh.typepad.com/whats_in_the_bicky_tins/

I just had so much fun creating it that I had to show it off :)

Getting better

Well things here are on the improve :) Cam is back to his normal self - thank goodness! He was just so sick with these chicken pox. High temps, clingy and miserable. He hardly slept at night, just tossed and turned and asked for more cream on his spots.
Josh has come out in them as well - only 2o or so spots though! Mind you he has carried on far more than Cam did.
After being stuck in the house all week we grabbed some lunch and had a picnic at the bike track and the Boys had a ride around on their scooters. Thankfully no one else was there so they could have a play.

I had to escape the house on Fri night and have a break from the kids. Luckily it was a Fri fun at The Happy Scrapper!!! Jacki was working and Margi came in from the point so it was great fun! I managed to do a LO for the EDM comp and this one as a review of 2006. I managed to fit 33 pics on one double LO!!

Jason has been busy. He and Will have got the verandas ready to concrete and they have also been busy picking tomatoes and making chutney, bottled whole tomatoes and tomato juice. He has also been busy with the Boys helping them make the trucks my Mum and Dad gave them for Christmas. Here they are painting Josh's. Cam was horrified I took his photo, he doesn't want anyone to see him with spots.

Oh well better go save the tree - the trouble makers have decided to "help" me and are pulling down the christmas tree....

My Poor Spotty Boy

Well poor Cam is a mess :( I took this pic last night while he was sleeping (in my bed - the ONLY place he will sleep - and then only in short bursts) .

I am hoping this is the worst of it for him as he is just so miserable. He just keeps repeating over and over to himself, me, anyone who will listen "I HATE these spots". His face is shocking (as you can see) as is his scalp, neck and shoulders. His back, arms and legs are lighter on and his belly is covered - but the spots are spread out. His scalp, behind his ears and his neck seem to be bothering him the most.

Josh has half a dozen spots spread out all over him - they don't seem to be multiplying as rapidly as Cams so lets hope he has a mild dose.

Hope this is all over soon .......

Me Again

Just another quick post as I had show off this gorgeous photo of my beautiful sister and her bub Jake. Isn't it just perfect!!

Chicken Pox

Wonderful!

Cameron has been out of sorts all last night and this morning and I have just discovered why, Chicken Pox :(

Not too many spots so far so lets hope it is a mild case.

Off to warn all the people we have been in contact with :(

Fun fun fun.................

Home Again

Hi everyone!
Yes we made it home from the christmas rush around. Two nights in Gilgandra (Jason's Mum and Dad - Hi Shirl!), 4 in Newcastle (Jason's Brother and SIL) then three in Sydney (my Aunt and Uncle - where Mum and Dad were staying too!). Needless to say I am VERY glad to be in my own bed again!

The trip home was a long one - starting with Cameron throwing up all through the car before we were ten mins down the road! *sigh* but we made it home!

Christmas was lovely - the Boys had a ball as you can see.... They got thoughly spoilt by everyone!

Santa brought them a slot car set

And Nan and Pop bought them scooters.

They LOVED meeting their new cousin Jake (as did I!!)

And all in all a good time was had.
Now to finish the unpacking and washing and finally get into some scrapping!!
