Scrapping

I am LOVING my holidays!! In between doing some school work I have been scrapping up a storm!!

I was a little lost with where to start, so worked on some old Tarisotta kits I had hanging around :)






I then got stuck into some challenges at Scrapboutique!

Organising our trip to Sydney to get my new car atm!! We have decided to make a bit of a holiday of it- anyone know any good places to stay???

New Car!!!

I am a bit excited!! My car had a hose go in it as I drove home earlier this week and Jas decided it was time to look to a new car before too much more went wrong with the old one. She has worked hard - a 1999 Berlina Station wagon with 168000km on her!!

So we started looking around. I was set on getting another station wagon as I love the ease of packing it and I am so used to mine after driving it for the last 6 years :)

Jas went to the Holden place and talked to the reps there and they showed him the boot space in the sedan and he thought it looked ok. So we went back and I had a look and we took a new one out for a drive (LOL we drove it home to see if my scrap tote would fit in it!! It did!). So we decided a sedan might be the way to go.

We were still sure we would buy a second hand one as neither of us could see the value in a new one - until they started talking prices. The prices were really good!

So new mind set - we stated looking around at new cars. We eventually found one in Sydney that was just too good to pass up! So we have bought it!! It is a Holden Berlina and is brand brand new - only been driven to the car carrier and parked in the dealership :)




I am salery packaging it so that just needs to be sorted and I guess we are off to Sydney to pick up my nice new car :) Funny how things work out!!

Anyone want to buy a well loved Berlina Station Wagon??

Scrap room

Ok I have talked about this scrap room enough - time to show some pics!

Now you have to take into account I still have to unpack and organise - AND Jas is still to put another cupboard in for me so I have a bench to put my cuttlebug and cricut on!



This is what it looks like standing at the dining table looking through the open double cavity sliding doors. Just ignore the mess!! You can see my cupboards (the Boys old wardrobe, my scrapping cupboard Jason made me and the shoe rack from the old house!!) That will one day be organised so I can find all my stuff! I am getting there bit by bit...



Jason also made my paper rack (which needs a good sort through) at the end of my desk.

This next photo is where I basicly live! Between the computer and scrapping thats pretty much my life - sad hey!). But at least its a nice space rather than the end of the kitchen in the old house!!


My computer is in the courner with scanner and printer above and my scrapping stuff to the left and right. My Clip-it-up is my new favourite toy! Keeps my alphs sooo much more organised.

New Years

Once Christmas was over it was time to plan round two - New Years with the McFadden Clan!!

It was so great to have everyone here! Jake has grown up wayyyyy too much, he is such a funny little man!

He had a ball in the bath with our two - so much for me worrying they would scare him like last time! LOL He was in his element, screaming with laughter and playing games! So much fun to see!

He is Thomas fanatic, so the Boys train set came out and calls of "Grandma, come" while patting the rug beside him was heard non stop!! Mind you the train set was supposed to go home with him, it somehow did not.......

We had lots of fun keeping Jake active and stop us being housebound! We went shopping and out for a coffee (you should see that little man get excited about a bubicino!!), to the park and to the lake. A new adventure each day!


We had a quite but fun NYE playing Buzz and laughing!! Great fun!

Chris and Shen arrived NY day which brought on Christmas fun again! Way too many presents - but so much fun to watch! All I wanted to do was see Mum and Dad open their present. I know they will LOVE cooking school at Bella Vedere!!!



Over dinner we also celebrated Mum's 60th Birthday. We got her a gorgeous Willow tree figurine called "Generations" and I put together a photo book of some of her photos from her life. They were all over the place so I was quite a task to find, scan and complie them - but I had so much fun doing it. I think she was a little taken aback!



It has been very odd around here now that everyone has gone.... Very quite (well as quite as a house with two seven year olds can be!!).. so we are looking at going to Gil for a few days and them maybe a camp by a river somewhere!!!

Christmas

Well it has come and gone so I thought I had better upload some photos!!

We'll start with this years Santa photo........


Yes there is only one child in there - Josh flatly refused to go anywhere near Santa this year. Cam went straight up to him and sat and chatted for ages while we waited for the photographer. He has grown up soooo much this year!!

So Christmas day was busy. It was really nice to share it with Jason's parents and the kids had fun with their big cousins! I think the big cousins got a bit sick of the little ones though!

The Boys were spoiled with presents as usual LOL Santa gave them a board game each (Battleships for Josh - he was very excited as it was what he asked for! and Ben Ten for Cam), a foam dart gun each, Bakugon (or some such - :eyeroll: ) as well as something else - who can remember! We bought them a game card for their DS's, parfait glasses and spoons (so they can make Nanny's Parfaits) as well as clothes and books etc!




I did a yummy Christmas Brunch that we had when Jas and Shirl got back from church. Lots and lots of yummy food. Bacon and eggs, sauted mushrooms with thyme, croissants with ham/cheese or smoked salmon/cream cheese, buttermilk hotcakes with cinnamon apples, plus a fruit platter! Mmmmmmmm

After all that I didn't do lunch, just a nice big dinner - seafood entree and roast meat and salad for main. My fav raspberry icecream cake was dessert.



So it was a good - if exhausting - day!
