They were so excited about getting their soccer boots and uniforms. All Cam wanted was gold boots - but had to settle for white with gold stripes!
Josh was in goals first and took it so seriously. Before we went he was practicing his crab run up and down as if he was in front of the goals. When they played he stopped three from three and did a massive drop kick down the field after one of them. He surprised everyone (especially me!) with it. I just love in this pic how none of his team mates are watching where he is kicking it :)
The two of them were in the thick of it the whole game. I knew Cam would be, but I though Josh might shy away from head to head confrontations - boy was I wrong! He was in the middle of it all! The grins on their faces the whole time was the best bit - look at them run!!
They Both had chances to throw the ball in and kick a corner. They just had a ball. Cameron also scored a goal!!!!!
In the end it was a draw 3-3. One of the other little Boys isn't so keen on this soccer business (although he was up at the crack of dawn to get ready!) and was in goals. He had so much fun pretending he had no arms he forgot to stop the ball!! SO much fun :) I just love this whole soccer business - can you tell??

awwww jo....how cute they look. i can remember my boys when they were this young and started playing. this has all made me a bit teary actually...
i am so glad they have enjoyed their first game....here's hoping it is the start of a lifetime love of the game.
