Well I found out today I am NOT a flyer!
We made it through the check in procedure (without much of the promised help from EWT – I think the rep had her times wrong!!) and exchanged our money while we waited for our flight.
The wait was not the best as they are renovating the international terminal at Sydney and hardly any food places were open! We managed to find a whole food cafe and pay a fortune – but at least we had something for breakfast!
The plane was much squashier than I expected! No leg room for long legs at all!! Especially when the tiny Chinese girl in front of you puts her seat all the way back – grrrrrrrr- for 10 ½ hours it was NOT fun!
But we made it to China – arriving in Pu Dong Airport Shanghai to a VERY quiet airport, no custom check or anything! They just stamped our passports, collected our entry cards and all was done!
We met our Guide - Amy, who will be with us through the whole experience. She got us on our bus and to our Hotel.
